A Job that doesn’t feel like work…

A few weeks ago I was asked to give an inspiring talk to to the yr 7 students at a local school. I was told that I would have to talk to all 130 of them for an hour and that I would have to not only hold their interest but give them something to think about.

Well, yesterday I gave the talk called “A job that doesn’t feel like work. Imagine that!”. It was about finding your passion in life or, as Sir Ken Robinson would say, your “element“. It’s supposedly far easier said that done, but I thought that I’d try and let them in on the secret…

I’m not sure that every kid got it though…

Me: So what would you like to do when you grow up?

Kid: Be a Train Driver.

Me: Great, why would you like to be a Train Driver?

Kid: Because they’re hench!

Ha ha!
