#VendrediVideo – Dario Pegoretti

It’s that time of the week again.

To allow you to really enjoy a good cup of tea I’ve decided to find you a slightly longer video, at 14 mins I reckon you’ve got time enough to enjoy the whole pot!

Dario Pegoretti is a bit of a legend, and Ridley Scott Associates (commissioned by Rapha) have done a great job of giving you an insight into his world of wine, cured meats, cigarettes and steel framed bicycles.

#VendrediVideo – Cobble Wobble special…

Keeping things simple…

Yep, it’s another (all be it slightly longer) super short to whet your appetite…

Dan and I visited re~cycle up in colchester last Friday and spent the late afternoon chatting to Derek about the challenges that they face getting the recycled bikes that they send over to africa up and running. peoplefund.it

Today I’m off to the big smoke with Dan (http://www.facademedia.co.uk) to meet with Keo Films, the people behind a brand new Crowd Funding platform called peoplefund.it . Keo is the production company responsible for all the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall programs and campaigns, along with some very well known documentaries and Films such as Banksy’s Exit Through The Gift Shop so are very well regarded and have a wealth of experience with connecting people online.

Peoplefund.it is a new platform that connects people who have an innovative idea to make the world a bit (or a lot) better, with people who want to support it with their spare cash, time and skills…

The idea is simple, Projects on peoplefund.it will be looking to create innovative solutions, in one (or more) of these areas: • Food •Energy • Environment • Community • Recreation • Health

People will be able to support projects with their spare cash and time, in return for rewards.

We’re excited to say that The Bicycle Academy has been shortlisted to be a part of the launch campaign for this exciting new crowd funding platform. Within a couple of weeks we’ll know for sure whether or not we’ve been successful, so cross your fingers and perhaps a couple of toes too.

As soon as we know more I’ll let you know, but all going well the campaign will begin on the 24th October and we’ll be along for the ride.
